Yes, representation matters. As a child I picked up on the many stereotypes, cultural inaccuracies, and tropes when it came to POC in tv & film. A Panamanian actor playing a Mexican in Blood in Blood Out, a Black man being the first to get eaten by a velociraptor in Jurassic Park, and the list goes on and on.

Thankfully the times they are a changin’ and now I’m able to be a part of it and accurately tell our stories.

For the 2nd year in a row my work with the folks at Northwell Health has been nominated for a NY Emmy. Fingers crossed we take home some hardware this year!

As many of you know I’m a big time gear head.
